Windows 10 upgrade on OLD laptop – take 2.

After failing with the online upgrade to Windows 10; I decided to go about this another way.

I used the Media Creation Tool.

First I used it to make a Windows 10 DVD, and then I used it again…

To upgrade the laptop to Windows 10.

Yes, it did ask me for a license, but i clicked on “I have installed Windows 10 on this PC before”…

That wasn’t a lie… even though yesterday’s install couldn’t get Internet access to activate.

So here’s some pictures taken over a 3 hour span…

And yes.. Windows 10 is fully activated with a Digital Entitlement license.

Now I’m off to check the DVD and USB ports and such…

    The USB ports work.
I will need to find and install DVD video player software.

It seems that Windows Media Player doesn’t play DVDs in Windows 10.

DVD reads, but I have not checked write features.
